You CAN make a difference

One of my favourite one-liners is:
“There are only three kinds of people in this world – those who can count and those who can’t.” Drop it on your friends and wait for their response.

Maybe there are only two kinds of people: Those who make their life count and those who don’t.

It is a rare thing to encounter someone who actually leads. Who makes a difference. Why is that?

Our lives are sprinkled with the dead leaves of regret. Don’t get to an old age and look back with sadness, remorse or guilt at what might have been. “If only I had taken the road less travelled. If only I had taken the opportunities. If only I had plucked the ripe fruit and sucked the juice out of it. If only I had planted a seed of hope and nurtured it over the years. What would my life be like now?”
We can all make incremental changes that lead to a richer life. We just have to recognise them and act on it. Make your life count. Make a difference. Be a leader. Take a stand for what you believe.

Its never to late. Don’t make excuses. Take the stairs. Exercise more. Eat healthy food. Read good books. Don’t let life wash over you like the tide coming in. Take a stand.

Face your fears. Paint that picture. Climb that mountain. Smile at strangers. Take risks. Relax more. Run and skip and laugh more.

Energize.

Introducing AXELOS and APMG, updating Yellowhouse

AXELOS ... Best Management Practice ... APMG-International ... Yellowhouse … 2014 ...
New and exciting.

From 01 January, +AXELOS Global Best Practice will be operating as the owner and regulator for the UK Government suite of products including PRINCE2 and ITIL. AXELOS was created out of a Joint Venture between the UK Crown and a private company in July 2013.

So no more OGC, no more Cabinet Office. It's all AXELOS and they will be developing new strategies and products over time, still working through www.best-management-practice.com

What about APMG? They continue as an Examination Institute and +Yellowhouse continues to work as an Accredited Training Organization with APMG.

There are a lot of developments in the pipeline with flexible delivery modes, on-line exam opportunities and new products.

We will be updating websites, product brochures, registration forms and back-end processes so we can continue to change the world … one project at a time … one project manager at a time.

Yellowhouse social media

Facebook business page launched
LinkedIn company page updated
Twitter page
Google+

It's great fun

Most of our online business is done though our Website or LinkedIn, where we have a Yellowhouse alumni group with over 1,250 members. Building a steady following with Twitter, but finding I am getting a bit serious with the format.

But you can have a lot of fun with Facebook, so we have launched a site there. now Google+ and revisiting Blogger after linking my Scoop.it! posts to WordPress.
In fact, you might see a few special offers for our training courses there too.

We will be re-developing our website(s) and integrating the Social media we use; but we are in business too, so we need to drive more sales to the public courses.

We have a Salesforce database of over 7,000 customers and can segment these; and 1,250 members in our LinkedIn Alumni group (training customers).

This will be updated in the new year, so keep in touch with us.

Meanwhile, we have had a great year online and face-to-face. It has been fun working with you - let's come back next year and do it all again.
